Yakushinyorai is a Buddha
having a power to bring people out of illness and it holds
a pot filled with sovereign remedy against all disease. Junishinshou
are war gods who protect those people who profess Yakushinyorai
with their respective 7000 Kenzoku Yasha (subordinate warriors).
Each god is assigned to twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac.
They originally look very doughty but I dare to draw them
endearingly.
薬師如来は病から人々を救う力を持つ仏様で、全ての病を治す霊薬の入った壷を持っています。十二神将は各々7000の眷属夜叉を率いて薬師如来を信仰するものを守る武神。各々に12支が割り当てられています。本来はとても勇猛な姿をしていますが、あえて可愛く描いてみました。
