"Satomi Hakkenden" is a full-length mystery novel which was written by Kyokutei Bakin for 28 years from 1814. This is a sprawling story about the eight balls flew off from Fusehime who was killed by cursing and Hakkenshi were born from these eight balls. With my own interpretation, I drew Hakkenshi as a figure of dogs.

里見八犬伝は曲亭馬琴が1814年から28年に渡って書き続けた長編怪奇小説です。呪いにより自害した伏姫の胎内から8個の玉が飛び散り、そこから誕生した八犬士の活躍を描いた壮大な作品です。この作品は独自の解釈により犬の姿で八犬士を描きました。
